Battisa Temple,Jagdalpur

It is an ancient monument at Barsur, situated at about 100 kms from  Jagdalpur and about 33 kms from Dantewada via Gidam. The reason behind its name of Battisa Mandir is that there  are two temple facing east direction having a common Mandapa based upon  32 pillars. Battisa Temple is preserved by Archaeology department of Chhattisgarh. The other attractions at Barsur are Mama-Bhanjaa temple,  Chandraditya temple and a mammoth statue of Lord Ganesha. The most  attractive spot is one vast pond of pre-historical days.
